Rented a boat for crabbing with 2 eight year olds. When they walk out of the store and say "she was nice" it means something. I dealt with three different people in the course of business and all were exceptionally nice. From the booking, to payment, to loading up and returning the boat, service was excellent. The tips for where to catch the crabs was a bonus. If you don't catch enough, they sell them live as well.
My favorite place to fish, eat, & enjoy the shore. The owner and staff are fabulous people.
After reading the other reviews below I decided this would be a good place to go for some information about fishing spots, boat rentals and fishing in general. I love fishing and crabbing but I'm very new to it and dont know much. The service at this shop was impeccable! Mike, the man who was there during my visit walked me through the basics of different baits and lures, and made some suggestions for which to use. He asked where I was going to be fishing and I honestly didnt know so I asked if he knew any good spots. Taking into consideration I had my 5 year old son with me he made a few suggestions, of which my son and I decided to check out the place at the intersection of 5th and york, and it was amazing, benches for my son to sit at, high railings so no chance of him getting hurt or falling in. We pulled up dropped the crab trap in and one after the next pulled up nearly 20 crabs in an hour with just the one trap. My son had a blast and so did I, a memory neither of us will ever forget. If it hadnt been for mike and his informative knowledge of the gear and area none of it ever would have happened. 5 stars would reccommend every time, thank you.
P.s. were going back to try for some fish tonight!
